Bedroom Tour

Bedroom Tour

I know, I know, Ive been talking about doing a post like this for quite some time. I just dont have the right lens for taking indoor photos, theres usually a small pile of clothes on the floor, and when I have free time, I dont usually think to take photos of my space. Yesterday, however, my room had to be photo-ready for a project a friend of mine was working on so I got to snap a few detail shots of my decor. Its nothing special but I think my room is pretty cozy so I decided to share. So without further ado, let me show you where the magic happens.

When my bedroom door is open, Charlie can be found right here. He loves this spot for some reason. So much so that he wouldnt move the entire time I was taking these photos.

For this space, I chose a lot of elements that make me happy, regardless of if theyre traditionally found together. The bedding is definitely my favorite part of the whole room: the duvet is very minimal so I added a ton of colorful throw pillows and a bright red yoga blanket to brighten up these cave-like walls. (Which Ive always kinda hated but figure theyd be a nightmare to paint over.)

Some space are minimal while others are definitely not. (Wait until you see my mess of a dresser.) I like doing this because its such a small space but its cozy without looking too cluttered. Having super high ceilings also helps! Oh, and remember that bird vase DIY? If you do, then youre an OG. The painting is something I did in high school and every time I look at it, I think about how much Id love to take up painting again. Maybe someday... Oh, and the globe was shamelessly trash-picked.

The bookshelf area is another one of my favorite pieces in the room. I HATED the chalkboard wall but, like the rest of the super dark room, knew it would be a hellish experience to paint over it so I left it for a while and just recently embraced the fact that I can draw pictures on it. I was really stressed out one day and drew a bunch of flora. I want to erase it all but thats a chore I havent had much time for. (Just being honest.) Side note: doesnt that creepy tree candle kind of look a little like George W. Bush?

This dresser area is something I have a love/hate relationship with. I either need some creative storage solutions or some hardcore KonMari because well... you can see.

Thats about it. Id like to show you guys more of my humble abode... someday. (Wink wink!) Have a great weekend!
